STEVENS Helen A. Stevens, 85, of Palatka, died Monday, December 17, 2001 at Palatka Health Care Center following an extended illness. A native of Alden, Minnesota, she had resided in Palatka since 1991 coming from Jacksonville. She had worked for 30 years as a school bus contractor/driver with the Duval County School System. She was a member of Wesconnett Baptist Church in Jacksonville and while in Palatka, had attended Christ Independent Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Milton “ Mit” Stevens, her father, Oscar Schnell Hasle and 2 brothers Swen and Jack Hasle. She is survived by 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Toby and Jerry Bedenbaugh and Mitzi Stevens, both of Palatka, a brother, Ted Hasle and sister, Margaret Raulerson, both of Jacksonville, 3 grandchildren and spouses, John Bedenbaugh of Starke, Jeff and Pam Bedenbaugh and Jed and Terri Bedenbaugh, all of Palatka, 7 great-grandchildren, Justin, Jennifer, Austen, Lyndsey, Jordan, Jerri Mae and Mit Bedenbaugh and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 19, 2001 at Christ Independent Methodist Church in Palatka with Rev. Amos Price officiating. Burial will be Wednesday at 1:30 P.M. at Riverside Memorial Park in Jacksonville. The family will receive friends at the home of Toby and Jerry Bedenbaugh, 335 Horsemans Club Road, on Tuesday from 12:00 Noon till 9:00 P.M.
