DOYLE, Helen A. (Adams) January 14, 1927 - December 24, 2007 Helen was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. A graduate of the science program at Mount St. Vincent University in NY, NY, she entered nursing and eventually became the night supervisor of the Children's Hospital of Detroit. She moved to Ottawa in 1956 to raise her family and became very active in the Catholic Women's League (CWL) and the Ottawa Children's Aid Society. Helen, and her husband Dr. John Doyle, were long time members of the Britannia Yacht Club and were original owners at Summers Seas in the Florida Keys. She is predeceased by her husband of 50 years, and more recently her daughter Mary Jo. A warm, loving and caring mother she will be greatly missed by her sons John (Susan Doggett), Andy (Darcy Eaton) and daughter Laura (Peter Durand), all of BC. She was a very proud grandmother to Billy, Patrick, Brendan, Jake, Nicholas, Sandy, Matthew, Katherine, James, Allison and Mitchell. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday December 28th at 11 AM at St. Joseph's the Worker Roman Catholic Church, 4451 Williams Road, Richmond, BC, followed by a reception in Steveston. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Richmond Hospital Foundation (7000 Westminster Hwy, Richmond, BC V6X 1A2) in her honor would be greatly appreciated.
