Obituary of Hazel-R. Carter

Graveside service for Hazel R. Carter, 93, of Bessemer was to be today, April 14, 2004, at 11 a.m. at Valhalla Cemetery with Clyce Hurst officiating and Brown Service Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Carter died Sunday, April 11, 2004. Visitation was Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Survivors include one daughter, Mary Anne Sims of Decatur; three sons, Bill Carter of Bessemer, Jerry Carter of McCalla and Richard “Dick” Carter of Hartselle; nine grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were to be Chris Key, Riley Key, Eldred Sims, Steve Atkinson, Clay Carter, Jeff Carter and Jeff Newman.
