Obituary of Hazel-Gertrude Fraser


FRASER _ Hazel Gertrude (nee Dusterhoeft), born on June 23, 1912 in Chilliwack, BC, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2006 in Vancouver. Hazel was predeceased by her beloved husband Bill, grandson Geoffrey Fraser and sister Wilma Robinson. She will be lovely remembered by her daughter Linda and son-in-law Gordon Mitchell and her son Allan Fraser and daughter-in-law Noreen. Her grandchildren, Cheryl (Jonathan) Willcocks, Barry (Glenda) Mitchell, Brent Fraser, Kyle Fraser and great-grandchildren, Melissa, Zachary and Allison Mitchell will miss their wonderful Ama/Grandma. She also leaves behind her sister Madeleine McNabb and other treasured family members and wonderful friends. She will be remembered as a sincere, loving, caring and supportive person with a positive attitude who adored spending time with her family. Hazel spent the majority of her life in Kerrisdale and was a long-time employee of the Hudson's Bay Company from which she retired in 1976. The family wishes to thank the staff at Blenheim Lodge for their care and kindness over the last few years. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, January 7th, 2006 at 11:00 am at the chapel at Ryerson United Church, 2195 West 45th Avenue in Vancouver. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
