HAWKINS-Marjorie Emma (nee Smith), 85 of Leesburg, Florida passed away on June 9, 2004, born in Coram, New York. She graduated from Port Jefferson High School and continued on to complete a two-year nursing program. Married to Royal L. Hawkins for 51 years, they resided in Port Jefferson, New York, where they raised their family. Marjorie was employed at St. Charles Hospital in Pediatrics during the Polio Epidemic and in later years for Emmons Jewelry Co. In 1998, she moved to Leesburg, Florida and lived at the Plantation of Leesburg. She enjoyed many social activities and was an honorary member of the Red Hat Society. She is survived by son: Royal S. Hawkins and daughter-in-law Joan of Yaphank, NY. Daughter: Nancy L. Roeill and son-in-law Ernest of Leesburg, Florida. Fourgrandchildren, Shari Weisbecker of Leesburg, Florida, Donna Shelton and husband Martin, of Naples, Florida, Debra Rausch and husband Paul of Rocky Point, NY and Royal Hawkins and his wife Shari of Winter Garden, Florida. Six great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mary Martin and Savilla O'Brien. She is also survived by two sister-in-laws: Irene Fowler and Isabella Bishop, also many nieces and nephews. Husband Royal and two brothers and two sisters predeceased her. Visitation, will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2-4 and 6-8PM, at the Bryant Funeral Home Inc., 411 Old Town Road, Setauket, L.I. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11AM, at the funeral home, followed by interment at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Port Jefferson, NY.
