Hattie Whitaker Hattie Whitaker, 97, slept peacefully away Thursday, January 24 2008, after a brief illness. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. EST, Wednesday, January 30, at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Timberlane Chapel (850-893-4177). Visitation will be held at the funeral Home Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. EST. Hattie was a member of St. Marks Primitive Baptist Church in Tallahassee.She is survived by a devoted niece, Jackie Chaires-Lacey, a devoted cousin, Vera Mack, and a host of relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Payne and Lula Wilson, a daughter, Lula Wilson Smith, and a brother, Charlie Wilson.
