Mrs. Whitaker passed away Sunday in Jackson. She was born November 28, 1929 in Henderson County to the late John Henry and Sara Hicks Britt. She was a homemaker and a lifetime member of Union Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Whitaker. Survivors include her two sons, Jerry (Michele) Whitaker of Dyer and Terry (Melisa) Whitaker of Oakfield; her daughter, Rita Fullerton of Nashville; two sisters, Euple Beasley of Pekin, IL and Ruthie Scott of Martin; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.Pafford Funeral Home, (731) 968-2544; www.paffordfuneralhome.com
