-> Hattie Mae Steplight Williams, 48, died Saturday, July 12, 2003 at St. Josephs Hospital. She was a native of Chatham County. She was a 1974 graduate of Tompkins High School and Savannah Technical College. She was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church where she was very active. She was preceded in death by her brother Robert Jones, Jr. Survivors: husband, Michael Lee Williams of Savannah; son, Robert Henry (Diana) Steplight of Savannah; two sisters, Carrie Steplight of Savannah and Anna Lou (James) Stowbridge of Statesboro; mother-in-law, Virginia Simmons of Savannah; five grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. Visitation: 6:00-7:00 p.m., Friday in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 19 at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Canebrake Rd. The Rev. Nathaniel N. Boles officiating. Mrs. Williams will be lie in state from 9:00 a.m., Saturday at the church. Burial: Emma Grove Cemetery.
