FISHER, Mrs. Hattie Mae Lewis Roland, 66, of Wesley Chapel, Fla., passedaway December 10, 2009, at Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, Fla. She was born in Pompano Beach, Fla., and came to Tampa 29 years ago, from Camp Lejune, N.C. She was preceded in death by Mr Jemmie Lewis Sr. (father), Mrs. Lillie Mae Lewis (mother), Leonard Roland (former husband), Christine Davis (sister), Mabel Jackson (sister), Roosevelt Lewis (brother), Willie James Lewis (brother), William Lewis (brother), and Larry Lewis (brother). She survived by her beloved husband, Clyde Fisher of Wesley Chapel, Fla.; sisters, Jessie Davis (Abraham) of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Rosa Blades (Freddie) of Orange Park, Fla., Gloria Stokes (Leonard) of Ft. Lauderdale, Evalina Scott( the Rev. Shafter) of Plant City, Fla. and Maxine Carey (Ernest) of Ft. Lauderdale; brothers, John Lewis of Ft. Lauderdale, and Jemmie Lewis Jr. (Josie) of Ft. Lauderdale; sons, Leonard Roland Jr.(Samantha) ofJacksonville, Fla. and Gregory Roland Jr.(Phylis) of Ft. Lauderdale; daughter, Carla Smith (Ervin) of Ft. Lauderdale; grand-daughters, Brittany Roland of Ft. Lauderdale, Brianna Roland of Ft. Lauderdale, and Brandi Atkins of Ft. Lauderdale; great-grand-son, Amari Hines of Ft. Lauderdale and great- granddaughter, Aaniyah Roland of Ft. Lauderdale; five stepchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Hattie Fisher was educated in the public schools of Broward County. She later attended Florida Junior College in Jacksonville, where she earned a degree in nursing, in 1978. She was baptized at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Ft. Lauderdale April 3, 1966. After moving to Tampa in 1980, She later joined Greater Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. She developed a deep personal relationship with the Lord and enjoyed studying God' s Word and attending Sunday school. She was blessed with a loving devoted husband, Mr. Clyde Fisher, who later became her compassionate caretaker during her extended period of illness. She was employed at Tampa General Hospital as a registered nurse and worked in various areas of the hospital. She retired from the rehabilitation unit of the hospital in 2005. Her greatest interest was in the education and development of her children and grand-children and teaching them how to be independent and responsible adults. A memorial service will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 26, 2009, at the House of God Church, 441 N.W. 7th Avenue, Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Please send all condolences for the family to the Rev.
