CORYDON - Miller, Harriet Ashton, 100, of Corydon, IN, passed away Friday, August 23, 2013 at Harrison Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was a native of Laconia, IN. Harriett was retired from the old ICI American and a member of St. John's Presbyterian Church, New Albany, IN. Preceded in death by: husband, Maurice G. Miller; daughter, Marcella Miller; parents, Claude and Zella Ashton; brothers, John Milton Ashton and Roger Ashton; sister, Eleanor Ashton Griffin Survivors: caregivers - nieces, Sue Ellen Jones, Patricia Biddle and Eleanor Faye Palmer; nephew, Patrick Ashton Griffin; sister-in-law, Louise Ashton; and numerous great-nieces and nephews. Visitation: 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Monday at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann and Naville Funeral Homes. Funeral: 1 p.m. Monday at the Funeral Home. Interment: SCI Graceland Memorial Park. Expressions: Marcella Miller Scholarship at Floyd Memorial Hospital or Hosparus of Southern Indiana.
