Harold Simpson, 92     ORMOND BEACH, Fla. -- Harold Simpson, beloved husband of 70 years to Roberta, passed away on July 22, 2007, after a long battle with cancer at the age of 92. Harold was born July 15, 1915, to Walter and Bertha Simpson in Dover, N.H., but resided in Maine for most of his life and spent winters in Florida during his retirement.      He was an Eagle Scout, a member of the Odd Fellow, and served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII. His career spanned many years as newspaper pressman, first at the Massachusetts Eagle Tribune, then the Portland Church World, and lastly the Portland Press Herald until he retired. His joy was the outdoors, especially the seaside in Maine and Florida. His other passion was building, and he constructed fine homes, finishing the last one at the age of 89.      Mr. Simpson is survived by his wife Roberta; two daughters, Judith Stevenson and Glenna Jillson; four grandchildren, Christina Moody, Ruth Howe, Jason Jillson, and Melinda Leahy; and nine great-grandchildren, Amber, Justin and Daniel How, Danielle, Ben, James and Nathan Moody, and Sierra and Emerson Leahy.      A funeral service will be held 1 p.m., Friday, at Hall Funeral Home, 165 Quaker Ridge Rd., Casco. Burial will be at the Edes Falls Cemetery in Naples.
