ALEXANDER, Harold Richard (Dick). Harold was a veteran of WWII with the Royal Canadian Navy and a member of the Col. John McCrae Legion, Branch 234. Before retiring to Guelph in 1983, Harold worked for thirty-five years in the printing industry at the Montreal Standard Publishing Company. He passed away peacefully at the Guelph General Hospital on Tuesday, February 10, 2004, at the age of eighty. Harold was the beloved husband of Dorothy (Chadband) of Guelph. Loving father of Wayne an his wife Gail, Dale and her husband Lewis Stevenson, and Heather and her husband Jim Walsh. Dear grandfather of Bradley, Scott, Brooke, Spencer and his wife Sherry, Kimberley and her husband Kirk, Matthew, Russell, and Graham. Dear great-grandfather of Autumn. Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, where the family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service for Harold will be held on Friday, February 13, 2004, in the funeral home chapel at 12 noon. Cremation will follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Lung Association, 317 Speedvale Ave. E., Guelph, ON, N1E 1N3, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 21 Surrey St. W., Guelph, ON, N1H 3R3, or a charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home (519-822-4731) or by email info@gilbertmacintyreandson.com).
