MOORE - On Friday, March 24, 2006, Harold W. Moore, beloved husband of Karen Moore, Broadview, SK, died at the age of 61 years. The funeral service will be held in the Broadview Community Hall, Broadview, SK, on Saturday, April 1, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Arnold Kornelsen and Pastor Larry Hedman officiating. Interment in the Broadview Cemetery. Predeceased by his father, John Moore and grandson, Elliot Moore. Harold is survived by his wife, Karen; his three children, Phillip (Allison), Medicine Hat, AB, Richard (Stefanie) Medicine Hat, AB and Charlene, Broadview; his three grandchildren, Dean, Jesse and Avery; his mother, Kathleen Moore, Saskatoon, SK; and one brother, Albert (Murna) Moore, Saskatoon, SK. Harold grew up in Saskatoon where he was actively involved in the militia, being a member of the North Saskatchewan Regiment. He obtained his BA in Liberal Arts with diploma in Education from the University of Saskatchewan. He taught in various schools in northern Saskatchewan before moving to Broadview where he taught high school for 25 years. During his teaching career he served as councillor for the Saskatchewan Teachers Federation for 20 years and was also very active in LINC for many years. He was involved in his community, serving on town council, the EDC as well as the Broadview Housing Authority. Harold loved History and he also loved to debate. He never stopped learning or wanting to impart his love of knowledge to all his students who meant so much to him.
