HANKS Doris Ann Hanks, age 72, passed away March 9, 2010. She was born in Shannon, Mississippi, lived in Ellijay, Georgia for over 18 years and moved to Orange Park 3 years ago. She was a retired hospital administrator and credit union business manager. Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Dr. James W. Hanks, LtCol. U.S. Army retired; son, Robert "Bobby" Thompson (Rhonda), 2 daughters, Barbara Jacobs (Andrew) and Katherine Hall (Larry), sister, Jane Warner; 9 grandchildren, Bob Thompson, Elizabeth Hall, Becky Thompson, Allen Thompson, Hampton Jacobs, Nikki Gordon, Kelsey Gordon, Tommy Jenkins, and Christina Jenkins, 2 step-daughters, Debra Gordon (Gary) and Kimberly Easter (Gordon), 2 step-sons, James and Barry Hanks and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Friday at 9:30 AM in the Chapel of HARDAGE-GIDDENS RIVERMEAD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Blanding Blvd. Orange Park, FL 32073. Interment will be in Jacksonville National Cemetery.
