WEEKS, HELEN RUTH EARLY - age 84 of Farragut, Tennessee, passed away Friday, January 30, 2015, at the residence of her daughter in Athens, Tennessee. A native of Roane County, former resident of Athens, and resident of Knoxville for over 30 years, she was a daughter of the late Floyd and Laura Dennis Early, and was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Weeks on October 10, 1974; and step mother, Margaret Cunningham. She was a member of First Baptish Church at Concord and was a former employee of Revco, having retired after 30 years. Survivors: two daughters, Dianne Blayock of Athens, Tennessee, Cathy Weeks and companion John Snyder of New Orleans, Louisiana;sister, Marie Little of Athens;sister-in-law, Eva Joyce Smith of Athens; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Peek officiating. Interment will follow in McMinn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to Samaritan's Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, North Carolina 28607-3000.
