McGILL--Helen Louise Hutchinson, of New York City and Carmel, NY, on April 25, 2014. Born in 1927 to Leland and Mildred Mickey Hutchinson, she grew up in Fostoria, Ohio. She graduated from Fostoria High School in 1945, and Vassar College in 1948. In Paris, she attended the Sorbonne and studied les ondes Martenot. Helen later performed with Musica Sacra and the New York Philharmonic, among others. With an M.A. from Teachers College, she taught at The Cathedral School of St. John the Divine. Kind and generous, with a genuine concern for others, Helen actively participated in her communities, including Gipsy Trail Club and Quaker Hill Country Club. Helen treasured her family. Predeceased by her husband Richard C. McGill, she is survived by their beloved daughter, Margaret Lauren McGill, of New York. She is also survived by nieces Ellen Hartzler (William Allen) and Susan Hartzler, nephew Richard Hartzler (Chris), and great-nieces Patty Allen-Stott (Christopher) and Christen Allen.
