Obituary of Helen-J. Anderson


ANDERSON, HELEN J., 88, of Longwood, died at Island Lakes Center on Tuesday, March 1, 2005. She was born August 2, 1916, she was the daughter of Olin and Olive (VanDeventer) Jones of Jonesville, VA. She first married Marshall Mackey MacLain who died on January 9, 1960. She later married Warren Anderson in March of 1962, and he survives. She was a member of Sanlando United Methodist Church, Daughters of American Revolution, United Daughters of Confederacy, Rolling Hills Golf Club, and had been employed by the Veterans' Administration and United States Geological Survey in Washington, D.C. and Ocala, FL, 1940- 1965. Surviving with her husband are two sisters, Mariella Carroll, Orlando, Anne Wilson, Orleans, IN; two brothers, Charles O. Jones, Louisa, VA, Earl V. Jones, Scottsburg, IN; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Viola Daugherty, Paoli, IN. Funeral services will be conducted at 2PM, Friday, March 4, 2005 from Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, Altamonte Chapel with Wesley Pennington officiating. Burial will follow in the Glen Haven Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call from 1-2PM prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Comforter, 480 West Central Parkway, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714.
