CONNELLY, HELEN (NEE HOLDEN) Helen Connelly (nee Holden), of Yonkers, died on Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at age 97. Born on April 14, 1908 to William and Nellie (Christopher) Holden in Yonkers, where she was raised and attended local schools. Mrs. Connelly was the Secretary in the City of Yonkers Assessors Office, working for the Commissioner for over 36 years, retiring in 1963. In 1959, she married Stephen Connelly in St. Dennis' Church, he predeceased her. Helen was a former member of Christ the King Golden Age Group Senior Citizen's Group #4; Elizabeth Seton Plus 60 Club and Hudson River Museum Auxiliary. Mrs. Connelly was also predeceased by her stepson Kenneth, who died in 1986; three sisters Mary Holden, Hortense Castonguay, Catherine Holden and two brothers; John Holden and Fire Lt. William Holden. Visitation hours will be at the Whalen & Ball F.H. on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be in Sacred Heart Church on Friday, October 28 at 9:30 pm.
