Helen Carpenterof Susquehanna, Pa.Helen Carpenter, 92, of Susquehanna, Pa., passed away Saturday, December 6, 2003, at the Barnes Kasson Hospital SNF in Susquehanna, after an illness. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Carpenter in 1960. Helen is survived by five sons and four daughters-in-law, James and Dolores Carpenter, Oakland, Pa., Ken and Dolores Carpenter, Landis, N.C., Rodger and Vicky Carpenter, Landis, N.C., Larry and Dawn Carpenter, Susquehanna, Terry Carpenter, Oakland, Pa.; five daughters and two sons-in-law, Gwen McKee, Lanesboro, Pa., Betty DiLuzio, Binghamton, N.Y., Shelby Carpenter, Lanesboro, Pa., Vivian and Harold Westbrook, Susquehanna, Janice and Joseph Conventino, Johnson City; 24 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren. She was an auxiliary member of the Loyal Order of the Moose #794, American Legion Post #86 and Susquehanna Fire Department, all of Susquehanna, Pa.The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12, 2003, at 1 p.m. at the Hennessey's Funeral Home, 208 Jackson Ave., Susquehanna, with pastor Fred Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Susquehanna, Pa. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Barnes Kasson Hospital, SNF, Turnpike St., Susquehanna, Pa. 18847.
