->Scanlan, Helen C.Helen C. Scanlan (nee Holodak), of Putnam Valley, NY, formerly of Yonkers, NY, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2013, at age 91.Helen was born in Yonkers on September 22, 1921, to the late John and Mary (Hopko) Holodak. She was a graduate of Holy Trinity Catholic School, Yonkers High School and attended the College of New Rochelle. She was a lifelong parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church.Helen is the devoted mother of Gerard (Susan) Scanlan Jr., and Patricia (Kevin) Kiernan, dear sister of Lillian Rusie, Thomas, Frank, James and Robert Holodak, loving grandmother of Jerry, Patrick, Kathleen, Caitlyn and Brendan, and great-grandmother of 6. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Gerard Scanlan Sr., her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jane and Gene Carty, grandson, Brian Scanlan, brother, John Holodak and sister, Marie Durant.Visitation at Yonkers Funeral Service (107 Yonkers Ave.) TODAY, Wednesday, from 3PM-8PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church at 11AM. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.Donations to Helen's memory may be made to Hospice Care of Westchester & Putnam.
