ROXBURGH, Gwendolyn Mary (nee Wright) Peacefully at Lakeside Long Term Care, Toronto, on Sunday, February 3, 2008, Gwendolyn Roxburgh, dearly beloved wife of the late James Maxwell Roxburgh, Secretary of the Medical Research Council. Beloved mother of Jim and Nancy (Stephenson). Loving mother-in-law of Anne and Robert. Devoted grandmother of Jamie, Renita, Andrew, Stuart, Lindsay, Jennifer and Peter. Proud great-grandmother of Max, Kaeleigh-Anne, Liam, Dominic, Basil and Vincent. Born in Victoria, British Columbia, Gwen raised her family in Montreal, Saskatoon, Washington and Ottawa. In Ottawa she worked for many years in the photographic library of Central Mortgage and Housing. She was dedicated to her family, and was forever finding genuine joy in all that they did. The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Lakeside Long Term Care, who recently provided much care and comfort to Gwen. A private family service will be held in the Chapel of the MORLEY BEDFORD FUNERAL HOME, Toronto (416-489-8733). Private interment at a later date at Beechwood Cemetery, Ottawa. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in memory of Gwen would be appreciated. Published in the Ottawa Citizen from 2/5/2008 - 2/6/2008
