GUY JUNIOR DAVIS VALPARAISO, IN Guy Junior Davis, age 70, of Valparaiso, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2009 at the VNA Hospice Center. He was born June 28, 1938 in Forrest, IL the son of Granger and Lena (Birch) Davis, and served with the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division during the Bay of Pigs operation. Guy was retired from Roofing Local #26, and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Valparaiso Lions Club and Porter County Emergency Management. On June 11, 1983 in Valparaiso he married Vicki Eigelsbach who survives along with five children: Lena Davis, Victor Davis, Dawn (Scott) Davis Fling all of Florida, Alisa (JT) Davis of Oregon, Kuhrt (Shawn) Schroeder of Valparaiso; son-in-law, Tony Janeway of Valparaiso; 13 grandchildren: Gavin and Chase Schroeder, Kat Kirk, Tiffany Comer, Mark and Amber Fling, Celess, T.J., Chad and Tommy Janeway, Cordell Kirkland, Wyatt and Nathaniel Davis; one great granddaughter, Zayna Martinez; six brothers and sisters: Dave, Joyce, Pam, Linda, John and Fern; and his faithful canine companion Abbey Doo. Guy was preceded in death by one son, Scott Davis in 1986; one daughter, Tonya Janeway in 1998; his parents; and one sister, Judy. A funeral service will be held Thursday 11:00 a.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, Rev. Jerry Castleman officiating with cremation to follow.
