<!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->Gray Adams Johnson, born October 28, 1929, of Montgomery Alabama, has died.Gray was born Anna Gray Adams in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to Walter Strong Adams, Jr. and Inez Gray Adams. She graduated from Chattanooga High School, and attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she was a member of the Chi Omega sorority and several university organizations. Gray married Robert Elmore Johnson (dec.) on June 25, 1949; they were married for over 63 years, until Bob's death in 2012.In Chattanooga, Gray was active in various civic organizations, including the Junior Crandall Art Club, and the Junior Kosmos Woman's Club. The family moved around the country several times, living in Amarillo and Plainview, TX, Springfield, OH, Houston, TX, and Santa Monica, CA, where she spent over 16 years. She and Bob finally settled in Montgomery, AL. in 1991.A life-long Methodist, Gray was devoted to her church and her faith, was an active participant in the United Methodist Women, and served as District President of that organization in Houston.
