-> Marlow - Grady Overly Smith, 73, died Saturday, April 19, 2003 at Candler Hospital. The Bryan County native was an active member of Marlow United Methodist Church. He retired from General Chemical after 40 years and also B & L Trucking. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. Survivors: wife, Joyce Crosby Smith of Marlow; daughter and son in law Donna and Rick Hull of Jacksonville, FL; two sons and daughters in law, Joey and Kay Smith, Robbie and April Smith all of Marlow; six grandsons and spouse, Will and Cindy Smith, Jed Smith, Robert Smith, and Ryan Smith all of Marlow, Brooks Studier and Nicolas Studier of Statesboro ; three sisters, Melrose Mock of Newington, Magalene Whetsel and Annie LaFlamme of North Charleston, SC; one great-grandson, Zachary Smith of Marlow; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation: 1:00-3:00 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2003 at the funeral home. Funeral Services: 3:00 p.m. Monday at Thomas C. Strickland and Sons Funeral Home, Effingham Chapel. Burial: Marlow Cemetery.
