Grace H. Miller NEW HARTFORD Grace H. Miller, 105 of New Hartford, died on Thursday, July 3, 2014, at the Presbyterian Home. She was born on September 14, 1908, in Dubuque, Iowa, a daughter of the late Willard West and Florence Cheney Ballard. She graduated from UFA in 1925. Grace married Richard H. Miller on October 21, 1936 in Tabernacle Church, a marriage lasting 65 years, until Richard died in 2003. Grace was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church where she was an Honorary Deacon. She was also a member of the UFA Alumni Society, National Society of the Daughter of the American Revolution, the Vermont Chapter of the Society of the Mayflower Descendents and served as the President of the White Cross for 10 years. She is survived by her son, Richard Jr., and his wife, Mary Louise of Barneveld; grandchildren, Lt. Colonel Gregory Miller and his wife, Susan of Colorado Springs, Allison Miller of New Hartford and Kathleen Scott of Plattsburg; three great grandchildren, Lance Miller, Emily and Lily Scott; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 3 sisters, Norma Nye, Dorothy Radford and Alice Bickford and 2 brothers, Roy and Earl Ballard. The family would like to offer a special thank you to all of the staff at Clare Bridge of Clinton for all the excellent care given to Grace. The funeral will be on Tuesday at 9:00 at the Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams &Edmunds Funeral Home, 13 Oxford Rd., New Hartford. Interment will be in Crown Hill Memorial Park. Calling hours will be on Monday from 4:00 to 6:00 at the Funeral Home.
