FITCHBURG -- Grace Edith (Hartwell) Anderson, 91, of 250 Ashburnham St., died Friday, Sept. 7, at HealthAlliance Hospital’s Leominster campus. She was born May 31, 1916, in Fitchburg, daughter of the late Nelson and Fannie (Robbins) Hartwell and lived in Fitchburg all her life. She worked at the former Fitchburg Gas and Electric Co., the United Cooperative Society, and then Burbank Hospital for more than 29 years before her retirement. She was an active member of Beth Eden Baptist Church. Her husband of 57 years, Arthur A. Anderson, died in 1995. She was also predeceased by her brother, Walter Hartwell. She leaves two sons, William Anderson of Lunenburg, and John Anderson and his wife, Mary, of Westminster; two daughters, Nancy Daulton and her husband, the Rev. Robert Daulton, of Fitchburg, and Judith Disque, and her husband the Rev. Roger Disque of Palos Hill, Ill.; 13 grandchildren, Dawn Mazza, Karen Ramborger, David Anderson, Robert Daulton Jr., Jonathan Daulton, Darrell Daulton, Lydia Jorgensen, Thomas Anderson, Tammy Penley, Todd Anderson, Rachel Garrison, Nathan Disque and Erica Neff; 40 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Alice Hartwell of Fitchburg; and several nieces and nephews. ANDERSON -- On Sept. 7, Grace Edith (Hartwell) Anderson, 91, of Fitchburg. The funeral will be held Tuesday, Sept. 11, at 10 a.m. in Beth Eden Baptist Church, 350 Ashburnham St., Fitchburg. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday, Sept. 10, from 5-8 p.m. in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg.
