Gordon Fay Stuart, 80, of Inverness, Florida, passed away January 13, 2015 at his residence in Inverness. He was born on April 3, 1934 in Bath, New York to the late, Leon and Phyllis (Dyer) Stuart. Gordon was an Electrical Engineer for General Electric Company for 30 years, working on military radar, and a U.S. Army veteran. He arrived in this area in 1991, coming from E. Syracuse, NY, was a protestant by faith, and a member of the Lions Club and the Hernando Elks. He enjoyed the computer, and helping friends and neighbors with theirs; going to the theater, and traveling. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Stuart. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Doris Stuart. Other survivors include his children, Nils Gordon (Marie) Stuart of Chalfont, PA, and Christina Anna (Roy) Blom of Tacoma, WA; 3 grandchildren, Rhiannon, Jon, and Magan; 2 great-grandchildren; his Aunt Roberta Dyer Green and Uncle Roger Dyer. Private cremation arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness. The family has requested donations be made in Gordon's name to Hospice of Citrus County, P.O. Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34465.
