Golda Mae Carter, 81, Floral City, died Nov. 11, 2008, under Hospice Care. She was born in Charleston, WV, to the late John and Clara Burke and came here in 1969 from Pinellas County. She was employed 21 years as an administrative secretary for Citrus County BOCC and was a member of Ft. Cooper Baptist Church. She is survived by 1 daughter, Clara Elizabeth Curry, Hernando; her brother, Jim Burke; 7 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Carter, a son, George E. Carter, 2 daughters, Candy Estes and Faye Cook, 2 brothers, John and Edward Burke, 2 sisters, Violet Wright and Sylvia Duval. Friends may call at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Nov 15, from Ft. Cooper Baptist Church with Rev. Marne Palmani officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park, St. Petersburg.
