Gloria Jean Todd, 64, of Homosassa, FL, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at her home under the loving care of her family, friends, and the Hospice of Citrus County. Born June 20, 1945, in Providence, KY, to William and Barbara Todd. She moved with her parents from Evansville, IN, to Homosassa in 1961. She worked with her father, Evangelist William Todd, an itinerant minister, traveling as a singer and pianist with her sister and brother. They continued to assist her father after he became pastor of The First Church of Jesus Christ in Homosassa, in 1961. The church later became Christian Progression Center and is now Christian Center Church. She served in the music department with her sister, the late Angie Wright and brother the Rev. Paul Todd. In her life she also worked for Homosassa Springs, John's Pharmacy and Beall's Outlet in Homosassa Springs. Gloria had a loving and caring heart. For ten years she gave herself to resident care devoting herself to helping care for her ailing mother. She was also a great asset to her father with research and the writing of his book, "End Time Connection." Gloria was preceded in death by her sister Angie Wright, and mother Barbara Todd. She is survived by her father Pastor Emeritus William F. Todd; her loving and devoted friend Gilbert Neeld; brother and wife, Paul and Verda Todd; two nieces and husbands; Becky and Steve Morehead, Orlando FL; Ruth and Bryan Jones, Citrus Hills, FL; two nephews and wives; William and Kim Todd, Valrico, FL; "Duke" and Angie Wright, Evansville, IN; 5 great-nieces and nephews; B.J. Lynd, Carter Todd, Ethan Wright, Aubrey Todd, Jasmin Jones; and 1 great-great nephew Brayden Lynd. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Hospice of Citrus County for their excellent care and kindness to Gloria and encourage gifts of financial support to this most worthy organization. Visitation for Gloria Todd will be Friday, July 31, 2009, from 10-11 AM at Wilder Funeral Home in Homosassa Springs, with funeral services following in the chapel at 11 AM with the Rev. Tim Urshan officiating.
