Gloria Jean (Cobbs) Powell of Weymouth, 67, died peacefully at her home Nov. 4, 2013. Born July 14, 1946, she was the daughter of Ada Lee Cobbs and the late James F. Cobbs. She was the wife of Joshua Powell Jr.; loving mother of Lesa, Joshua, James, Nichole and Jayson and the late Michelle; adoring grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; caring sister of Delores Miller, Phyllis Cobbs, Deborah Barbosa, James F. Cobbs Jr., Cedric L. Cobbs, the late Mary Cobbs and Yvonne Cobbs. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. A memorial visitation was held Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, from 12 p.m. - 1 p.m. at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 North Main Street, Randolph, immediately followed by a memorial service at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. A repast was held immediately following the service from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Lt. John D. Crawford VFW, 10 Highland Ave., Randolph.
