NORTHPORT Gloria Diane Wilson, age 55, of Northport, died March 22, 2009, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Corinth Baptist Church with Pastor Hayse Moss and Evangelist Sarah Banks officiating. Burial will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service at the church.Her mother, Kathleen Reece, and her son, Bradley F. Wilson, preceded her in death. Survivors include her father, "Dub" Reece; son, Bryne Wilson (Angela); stepdaughter, Pam Easterling (Jimmy); two sisters, Kathy McAteer (David) and Linda Barger (Harold); five brothers, Larry Reece (Mendyall), Elton Reece (Joy), David Day, Billy Gene Day (Nora), and J.C. Day (Betty); and one grandchild, Dakota.Mrs. Wilson was a member of Double Portion Church. She lived by God's word and served in the music program and sang His praises. Her sons were her joy as well as the love for all her family. To pass time she loved fishing and playing softball. She was a U.S. Postal carrier for many years.Pallbearers will be Zach Keneson, Jason Keneson, Shaun McAteer, Josh Banks, Dwight Barger, and Jimmy Easterling.Honorary pallbearers are members of Double Portion Church, Amedisys Home Health, Patsy Moss, and former postal service co-workers.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Brad Wilson Memorial Fund.The family would like to show their appreciation to all the wonderful friends, caregivers, and church family for their love and support.
