Gloria Dent Johnson Byron, GA- Gloria Dent Johnson, 83, died Saturday, October 25, 2014. Services will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, October 28, 2014, at Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church, at the intersection of Houser's Mill Road and Lakeview Road in Byron, with Elder Garry Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church, beginning at 10:00AM. Born in Crawford County to the late Rome and Katie Wilder Dent, Mrs. Johnson retired from Peach County Board of Education and was a member of Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Joe Johnson; their daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Steve Fisher, and Karen and Terry Deese, all of Byron; grandchildren, Jason and Karen Rowland, Kelly Deese, and Michael Deese; numerous great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Bobby and Gloria Dent of Jacksonville, Florida, Annis and Ralph Champion of Perry, Wilder and Patty Dent of Fort Valley, Edward Dent of Las Vegas, Nevada, Roy and Ruth Dent of Powersville, and Pat Tresco of Byron; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by a brother, Billy Dent and sister-in-law, Pat Dent Krick.
