She married Ardis Johnson Jr. on October 18, 1980 in Poughkeepsie. Gloria worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant (CNA) for Castle Point Veteran's Hospital for a number of years.She is survived by her son, Peter R. Alfred Jr. of Cottonpor, LA and daughter, Yulander McGue of Poughkeepsie, NY; grandchildren, Patricia Williams, Shaquanna Johnson, Johnathan Johnson, Rashathia Alfred of Houston, TX, Lanayah McGue of Poughkeepsie, NY and Peter R. Alfred III of Baltimore, MD; great-grandchildren, Lasharee and Wayne Allen, Cea'on Robinson all of Poughkeepsie, and Sarah Sophia Alfred of Baltimore, MD.Gloria was preceded in death by her mother and father, Bill and Lelia Bonds, brothers, Richard Bonds and David Newman, her husband, Ardis Johnson Jr.Mrs. Johnson will lay in repose 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel 43 Fairview Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY.
