Mrs. Gloria Barton Carter, age 64, of Sugar Hill, Ga., passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Barton and Virginia Clark; and sisters, Freida Little and Becky Butler. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, James "Jimmy" Carter, Sugar Hill, Ga.; daughter, Tamatha Carter Jones, Sarasota, Fla.; son-in-law, Philip Jones, Sarasota, Fla.; grandchildren, Justin and Candace Jones, Jacksonville, Fla., and Maryann and Gary Davis, Jacksonville, Fla.; great-granddaughter, Mallory Jones; sister and brother-in-law, Joann and Ron Mueller, Lilburn, Ga.; brother and sister-in-law, Harry Barton Jr. and wife, Patsy Barton, Cleveland, Ga.; sister-in-law, Brenda Carter Cain, Flowery Branch, Ga.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Carter was born Aug. 11, 1948, in Atlanta, Ga. She was a 1966 graduate of Cross Keyes High School in Atlanta, Ga. She retired from Citi Financial in Cumming, Ga. She was a member of Chicopee Baptist Church in Gainesville, Ga. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Chicopee Baptist Church, 13 First St., Chicopee-Gainesville, GA 30504 with the Rev. Phil Carpenter and the Rev.
