Gloria-Anne Jones, spouse of Allan-R. Jones, daughter of Joseph and Norma, mother of Brian, Jefferey, Ny, Scott, Va and Kathleen, died on June 16, 2013. Please consult the obituary here:
->Jones, Gloria AnneGloria Anne Jones, of 8407 Crosslake Drive, Fairfax Station, VA, formerly of Big Flats, NY and The Villages, FL passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2013 in the Inova Fairfax Hospital, Falls Church, VA. Born in Kansas City, MO, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Norma (Grossi) Celaschi. She married Allan R. Jones on November 11, 1958 in Geneva, NY. He predeceased her on February 16, 2005. Gloria graduated from Corning Free Academy and later from Corning Community College. She was a marketing associate, employed by Dresser-Rand in Painted Post for several years. Gloria was an avid painter and enjoyed the time she spent nurturing her family and grandchildren. She was a competitive Scrabble player and a big NY Yankees and Giants fan. Gloria is survived by one daughter: Kathleen (David) Olsen of Springfield, VA and two sons: Scott (Robin) Jones of New City, NY and Jefferey (Erin) Jones of Horseheads, NY; sister, Carol (Rock) Palmer of Westfield, MA; grandchildren: Michael, Ricky, Kathleen, McKenna, Margaret, and Genevive; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Brian Jones and her sister Evelyn Pember. Friends may call at the Phillips Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 17 W. Pulteney St., Corning, NY on Saturday, June 22, 2013 from 11:00AM to 1:00PM. Services will follow at 1:00PM with Pastor Rick Price of the Big Flats First Presbyterian Church officiating.
