NELSON, GLENDA SUE (NEE: SCHREINER) 59, of Louisville, passed away Friday, June 16, 2006 at her home. She was a native of Ferdinand, IN, a graduate of the former Catherine Spalding College, having received a BSN; she was a DON for 20 years and most recently served as the director of nursing for Jefferson Manor. She is survived by her sons, Byron Nelson, and Kent Nelson (Jenny); daughters, Sunnie Nelson and Erika Nelson; brothers, Kent Schreiner (Darlene) and Norbert Schreiner (Cindy); sister, Mary Ruhe; two grandchildren, Ethan Nelson and Logan Nelson; and her companion, Daniel Turner. Her funeral service will be 10 a.m. CDT Monday, June 19 at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, with burial in St. Ferdinand Cemetery in Ferdinand, IN. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time at her church in Indiana, but visitation will be Sunday , June 18 from 2-8 p.m. at Highlands Family- Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd, Louisville, KY.
