GLADYS (GAY) NORA WILLIAMS- nee Mills, age 91, passed away peacefully at Pioneer Lodge, Moose Jaw on Saturday, July 28, 2007, with her daughter Sandra and son-in-law Lloyd by her side. Gay was predeceased by her husband Frank Williams in 1977 and grandson Craig Wheeler in 1999, as well as nine brothers and sisters. Gay will be missed and is fondly and lovingly remembered by, her daughter Sandra and son-in-law, Lloyd Luhning of Moose Jaw and daughter Ellyse Barlow (Nigel Bowman) of Edmonton, AB; grandchildren Dawn Luhning (David Danchilla) of Moose Jaw and Ryan (Carolyn) Luhning and great-grand-daughter and "sweetheart " Grace of Calgary, AB; and Chris Wheeler; sister-in-law Marian McCullough of Allen, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Gay worked for the Bank of Montreal in Regina until her retirement in 1981. Her monthly luncheons with her fellow Bank of Montreal retirees were one of the highlights of her life. Her greatest enjoyment was her family, her grandchildren and the arrival of her great grand-daughter. She especially loved watching sports including baseball, football, curling and golf, her favourite teams being the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Toronto Blue Jays. Gay's family graciously thanks the staff at Pioneer Lodge and Chateau St. Michael's for their care and compassion in making her last weeks so comfortable. A celebration of Gay's life will take place at W.J. Jones and Son Chapel on Thursday August 2, 2007 at 1:30 pm. A private family memorialization will take place in the morning of August 2 at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery in Regina where Gay will re-join her beloved husband Frank in the Veterans Section. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 2360 2nd Ave., Regina, S4R 1A6, the CNIB 2550 Broad St., Regina, S4P 9Z9, or to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. She was the sparkle in our family's lives and we will miss her spirited sense of humour, her honesty and perspective on all the wonders of life and her infectious laugh and smile. In living memory of Gay, a tree will be planted by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home. Please sign the memorial register book at website: www.wjjonesandson.com (Obituaries).
