Gladys Pearson Williams SPARTANBURG, SC-- Gladys Pearson Williams, 88, formerly of Bonner Road, died Friday, October 28, 2011, at Wesley Court Assisted Living. She was the widow of John Earl Williams and a daughter of the late Ben Dixon Pearson and Lillie Bell Bennett Pearson. Mrs. Williams was a member of Davis Memorial Baptist Church and former member of Southside Baptist Church. She worked at Drayton Mill, then at Valley Falls Mill in the Cloth Room. She was a life-long caregiver to family, friends, and animals, an avid gardener who loved her flowers, and worked with Mobile Meals for years. She is survived by a sister, Nancy Louise P. Davis of Spartanburg; a niece, Judy D. Price; and several additional special nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 1:00-3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 30, at Bobo Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 31, at Sunset Memorial Park officiated by Rev. James Price and Chris Wright. A special thanks to the caring friends at Mary Black Hospital, White Oak Manor-Spartanburg and her loving family at Wesley Court Assisted Living. "You go out of your way to be thoughtful and nice.
