COLUMBUS, NC-- Gladys Owens Johnson, 93, of 106 South Peak Street died on April 6, 2007 at her home. A native of Polk County, she was the daughter of the late McKinley Owens Taylor and wife of the late Burley Johnson.She was a member of Columbus First Baptist Church and retired from the Label Mill in Columbus.She is survived by a daughter in law, Helen Johnson of Columbus; a brother, Grover Taylor of Rutherfordton, NC; a sister, Betty Luther of Columbus; a grandson, Dwayne Johnson; three step grandchildren, Rhonda Fowler, Terry Price; and Charles Edward Price; seven great grand children; and three great great grandchildren.She was predeceased by a son, Burley Wayne Johnson.The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM on Monday at Pacolet Hills Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am at the church conducted by Rev. Robert Capps and Rev. James Price.
