ObituaryGladys Ford Morrison, 74, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 4th. She was born September 3, 1926, in Plant City, Florida. She and her husband, Jack Lamb Morrison, celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on May 27. She was a long-time active member of First Baptist Church and dedicated her life to serving God, her family and multitudes of others. She was a godly woman and will be greatly missed. In addition to her husband, Gladys is survived by 3 sons, Jack (Sara), Robert (Shirley), and Steve (Lisa); 9 grandchildren, Angela (Kane) Richmond, Brad (Beth) Morrison, Matthew Morrison, Chris Morrison, Jeff Miller, Brooke Forlini (Jojo), Ryan Butler, Ryan Kingsbury and Brandon Kingsbury; and five great-grandchildren; a brother, Archie Ford and a sister, Omadell Schneider and a host of loving friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Earl Ford and her sister, Ollie Varnadoe. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens, 1589 Colonial Boulevard. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2001 at First Baptist Church, Fort Myers, Second & Jackson Street wit Dr. Bill Smith officiating. A family burial will follow at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to the Activities Center of First Baptist Church.
