GRINDLAY, Gladys Elizabeth (nee Steele) - Suddenly on Thursday November 20, 2003 at St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 86 years. Dear mother of Pat and his wife Jean Grindlay of Niagara Falls, Ontario. Cherished Gran of Patrick C. and his fiancée Cynthia, Robert, Eric and Tammy. Loving sister of Eileen and the late James MacSporran, Lillian and her husband John Ormerod, Helen and the late Bill Gill, Marjorie Steele and Betty Steele. Sister-in-law of Helen, Alice and Grace Steele. Predeceased by her brothers Walter, Jim and Harry Steele. Gladie will be sadly missed by her many friends at Upper Canada Lodge and by her surrogate family. Gladys is at the NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE CHAPEL of the MORGAN FUNERAL HOMES 415 Regent Street, where her family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Vigil will be conducted at the funeral home on Sunday evening at 8:00 o'clock. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Vincent DePaul Church on Monday morning at 11:00 o'clock. Rite of committal will follow in the church cemetery.
