p>Gladys E. Williams (nee Murray) age 90 years of Paulsboro died Monday March 26, 2007 in her home. Mrs. Williams was born in Newburgh, N.Y. and lived most of her life in Paulsboro. She was a 1935 graduate of Paulsboro High School. Mrs. Williams was a member of St. Paul¹s United Methodist Church, Paulsboro where she worked as the Secretary for 18 years. She was a member of the Bernita Philathea Sunday School class of the church for 54 years and she was their Past President, Secretary and Treasurer. Mrs. Williams was a 50-year member of the Swedesboro Chapter #115 Order of the Eastern Star, Paulsboro. She belonged to the Golden Age Club of National Park and the West Deptford Senior Citizens Club. Mrs. Williams enjoyed volunteering and helping others at Underwood Memorial Hospital. She also served as President of the former Garden State Ramblers Camping Club, she was a member of NCT Chapter 8 Camping Club, member of the former Wood Tyks Camping Club, member of the Jersey Oaks Camping Club were she was their Secretary and Treasurer and a 34 year member of the NCHA. Mrs. Williams was also a Past President of the Billingsport Elementary School PTA. She is survived by her companion, Robert Hess of Sewell; her family, June and Robert DuBois of Pennsville, Jacqueline and Nathan Stover of Paulsboro and John and Anne Wiliams of Paulsboro; 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Williams was predeceased by her husband John F. Williams Jr.; her granddaughter, June Vance; her great granddaughter, Cheryl Ann Vance and her sister, Mildred Bee. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday March 30, 2007 in the McBRIDE - FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 228 West Broad Street, Paulsboro. Friends may call Friday morning after 8:30 a.m. until service time in the funeral home. Interment Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro.
