Gladys Davis, 69, made her transition on Nov. 7, 2010. The funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Queen of Angels Church, 44 Irvine Turner Blvd., Newark, N.J. Interment is in Evergreen Cemetery, Hillside, N.J. Visitation is on Monday from 9 a.m. until time of service at the church. Arrangements are by the Whigham Funeral Home. Born in Enterprise, Ala., Ms. Davis was a resident of Newark. She was a volunteer for St. Michael's School and the Newark Community School of Arts. Ms. Davis was the beloved mother of Richard Conn, Terry Conn, Deborah Craig, Kimberly Conn, Angela Davis Terry, Angelique Davis and Lucretia Davis Stokes; devoted daughter of Ola Mae Rivers; dear grandmother of 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; also survived by a host of relatives and friends.
