<!-- FH = ALLEN, MARY N.J. --><!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->JOHNSON, Gladys C. "Noni" 87, of Tampa, passed away Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014. Born in Swain County, NC, she mo-ved to Florida in 1960. She was a military wife for 26 years and volunteered at Mac Dill Air Force Base in Family Services, at Westshore Elementary School, and the election polls. She loved Bingo, cooking, crossword puzzles, and reading. She went to nursing school & worked at the Gaston County Orthopedic Hospital for children. Gladys loved and cherished her children, grandchildren, & great-grandchildren beyond meas-ure. She was preceded in dea-th by her husband of 49 years, William F. Johnson; and her five siblings. Gladys/Noni is survived by her daughter, Jeanie (Richard) Allen; daughter, Nancy (L.W.) Boully; daughter, Susan (Dane) Brawner; son, Jimmy (Sarah) Johnson; grandchildren, Dana, Barbara, Courtney, Mark, Dawn, A.J., Darla, Leslie, Sean, James Michael, Brittany, Shawn, Heather, and Briana; and 15 great- grandchildren. There will be a visitation on Saturday, Aug. 23, 10-11 am, followed by a service immediately at 11 am at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, at 4207 Eastlake Avenue, Tampa.
