LIND, Gladys Alice - Passed away in her sleep at Victoria Village Manor in Barrie, Ontario on the morning of Monday June 1, 2009. A lengthy battle with dementia had taken her mind but in the end pancreatic cancer took her body. Predeceased by her husband Harold Lind (2001) and her son David Lind (1993). She will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by her daughter Karen (Lind) Doucette, son Dennis Lind, grandchildren Christopher, Jeffrey, Shawn, Alicia and Sarah, sister Barbara Berg and brother-in-law Rod Prophet. Her ashes will be laid to rest with her husband's and son's ashes in Northern Ontario, just outside of Kirkland Lake in late August 2009. If desired, memorial donations can be to the Alzheimer's Society. “Mom, it was heartbreaking to witness the decline in your mind and body over the last few years. I remember you to have such a zest for life, a love for all the people and a very warm and welcoming home. You will be missed by many but remembered fondly.
