LAKING, GERTRUDE MAE - The death of Gertrude Mae Laking of St. Stephen, New Brunswick occurred at the Charlotte County Hospital on December 22, 2003. Born in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late Burton and Nellie (Spires) Scott. Predeceased by her husband, Walter Laking and a daughter, Marie Kinney. She is survived by granddaughter, Lorie Vaughan of Quispamsis; grandsons; Milford Kinney of Saint John and Jeff Kinney of St. Stephen; brother, Cecil Scott of Tower Hill; ten great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Resting at MacDonald Select Community Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St. Stephen, with visiting on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. The funeral will be held 2 pm on Monday December 29, 2003 from the MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Charles Mousseau officiating. Interment will take place at the St. Stephen Rural Cemetery.
