Gertrude-Mae-Archer Jackson, spouse of Edward-M. Jackson, daughter of Fred and Jenny-Berg-Archer, mother of Patricia and Rick, died on January 29, 2001.
GERTRUDE MAE ARCHER JACKSONformerly of BinghamtonGertrude Mae Archer Jackson, formerly of Binghamton and Schenectady, N.Y. entered into eternal rest, Monday, January 29, 2001 in Culver City, Calif. ater a lengthy illness. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward M. Jackson, her mother, Jenny Berg Archer Branch, and her father, Fred Archer, Sr. Sis, as she was lovingly known by family and friends, is survived by her daughter, Patricia Jackson and Rick Norvell; two grandchildren, Sheree Zampino Smith and David Zampino; three great grandchildren, Cheyenne and David Zampino, Jr. and Will Smith III (Trey) with whom she shared unlimited love and joy. Survivors also include two sisters, Laura Olmedo and Genieve French and two brothers, Frederick Archer and Thomas Archer, an aunt, Mrs. Ada Batiste, two uncles, John Berg and Arlington Jackson; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Sis had a happy, loving personality with a smile that she shared with all she met. These attributes helped make her a popular teacher's aide in the Headstart Program where she worked until her retirement. Family and friends in California celebrated her life on Saturday, February 3, 2001 and she will return to Binghamton for burial at Spring Forest Cemetery on Tuesday, February 13 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Moses Cunningham, officiating. You will be Deeply missed but Lovingly Remembered.
