Gertrude-A. Lee, spouse of Harold-S. Lee, mother of Gay, Joy, Gary and York, died at 88 years old.
ObituaryAfter a brief illness, Gertrude A. Lee (nee Kubli) passed away peacefully in her Fort Myers, Florida home at the age of 88. Active until just a short time before her passing, Mrs. lee had been a volunteer at the Lee Memorial HealthPark Hospital for the past sixteen years, and was a hospice volunteer at the Hope Chest Thrift Shop for several years, as well.Before retiring to Fort Myers in 1980, Gertrude, a native of Buffalo, New York, was the manager/hostess of the Tearoom in the William Hengerer Co., an upscale department store, for over ten years after being an employee of the Service Systems Corporation for several years as well. While living in Buffalo, Gertrude was an active member of Amherst Chapter #555 Order of the Eastern Star, and served as a Grand Officer.She was the beloved wife of the late Harold S. Lee, dear sister of the late Kenneth Kubli, and is survived by her three children, Gay (Larry Mroz) of Fort Myers; Joy (the late Albert Homberger III) and Gary of Buffalo, New York, as well as 5 grandchildren, Jill Wild (John), Stephen Homberger, Todd Homberger (Tracey), Andy Mroz, and Amy Wahlig (Mark); and 8 great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service to celebrate Gertrude's life, on Saturday, February 24, 2007 at 10 AM at the Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd. The family will be present to greet guests beginning at 9 AM.
