Smith, Geraldine Venezia EAST LANSING, Mich. Geraldine "Gerry", age 66, died on March 6, 2014, with her loving husband, Dudley "Smitty" Smith by her side. She was born in Albany to Charles Venezia, Sr. and the late Mary Gigante Venezia. Besides her husband and father, she is survived by her children, Timothy (Karen) Stewart, Jill (Andrew) Abendroth and Zachary Smith; siblings, Patricia Bohley, Barbara Riffley and Charles Venezia, Jr.; as well as six grandchildren. A memorial will be held on April 12 at the South Schodack Fire Hall, 1567 Bame Road, Castleton from noon to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that friends plant a tree or perennial to remember Gerry.
