Geraldine Smith, 88, widow of Amos LeRoy Smith, died Monday, June 11, 2007, at Piedmont Living Center. Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Nellie Stover McGill. Mrs. Smith was retired from Belk Home Store and a member of Laurel Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Leigh Smith of Greer, and Steve and Jackie Smith of Simpsonville; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Regina Smith, and two sisters. Memorials may be made to Laurel Baptist Church, 2331 Laurens Road, Greenville, SC 29607. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2007, at noon in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Visitation will be held prior from 11 to 11:45 a.m. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery, West. The family will be at the home of Steve and Jackie Smith, 3 Ansley Court, Simpsonville, SC.
